Just to be accurate: during the videocall Carina says “bambina, it’s not safe etc etc”. Bambina literally means “little girl”, but we use it like a word of affection: it’s like baby, honey. We use it a lot in Italy, especially here in sicily ? it’s cute. Xoxo

Oh, awww. I didn’t catch that at all, and the closed captioning had it as “I mean” but it does make more sense that they didn’t both start consecutive sentences with “I mean”, heh. Thanks for the correction! That definitely makes that scene even cuter.

I saw people commenting about Maya and Carina’s kissing being bad, do you agree? Now that someone pointed that out i see it

Uh, no, I haven’t really ever thought about that… I don’t really focus on that, as you know, I’m pretty into the emotional aspect, and I see so many complaints on general but it’s so many factors, right, what network, what timeslot, what genre, the age of the characters, the stage of their relationship, if that particular kiss is supposed to be affectionate or romantic, the fact that f/f kisses have an extra spotlight on them to not seem male gazey or “porny”, etc, etc. I’m pretty non-judgmental about all that since I don’t know what’s going on BTS.

But I can still see how they are even if I don’t judge and these two never really stood out as being terrible to me? I guess we haven’t seen much of the actual kisses, they’re mostly just about to, hence me making a whole gifset about them smiling into their kisses, or like…hidden by hair or whatever. There was that good one in the office last season, though? When Carina flipped her hair?

Carina is a obgyn. I am sure that she makes plenty of money. Moving to whatever place would be no issue for her. I wonder whose house they will move into. I kinda hope that it will be Carina’s. I wanna see a new set and I am pretty sure that Carina also has the bigger house.

True, true, she can probably do whatever. I think from the promo pics of 4×04 it’s Maya’s kitchen so sorry, no new set. It’s probably for the best, this show would never do justice to what Carina DeLuca’s place would be like. 😛

i am just starting station 19 and I have a question. you’ve always hated jack, why? andy is the one who cheated, andy and Jack were both fighting for the same position so they’re bound to compete with each other, jack defended andy when the chief mentioned nepotism. I’m just wondering because both andy and jack were brats and was stubborn while fighting for captain

As I’ve said, it’s nothing really based on anything particularly deep, all the characters at some point have looked bad, acting petulantly and self-righteously and hypocritically and selfishly…and at other times being quite wonderful. I had no issues with Jack in last week’s ep, for example, he was the only one trying to be nice and do his job tbh, amid all these people being distracted by their personal problems.

But no, I tend to dislike him just because, to me, his worst comes so often, is so easily excused by the narrative and other characters, and is just coupled with a level of entitlement I found hard to tolerate, especially at the start, when most of my feelings about the show and characters were taking hold. It’s just personal taste.

Someone I follow on twitter saw the gifset of Stefania and Danielle and thought they were a long term youtube lesbian couple. it made me laugh when i saw your tag underneath it

The body language! But no, like, maybe I’m projecting my own attitude about these kinds of things, but I always assume if people are that flirty on camera, they don’t…have anything to hide, right? It’s just for fun? Otherwise they wouldn’t put it up there. Unless they don’t have anything to hide because they’re totally in a relationship and don’t care if it’s found out, heh. Not that I think that’s happening here…but yeah, they really have a certain energy in front of the camera, even if it’s just behind the scenes.

This is just something that kinda irks me/makes me laugh when it happens in film or tv. The whole move in with me randomly trope, I know it’s cute and symbolic of the new level of their relationship. But do they all live in a universe where you don’t get fined for breaking your lease or leaving your roommate in lurch by suddenly moving out?

Oh, heh, you know that’s only relevant when it’s a plot point, like when someone needs to find a roommate or can’t afford something. I just handwave it with all other TV convenience, or maybe we’re to assume Carina loves Maya so much she’ll break her lease or something. 😛 I’m thinking as a doctor who’s fairly recently moved to the country she’s probably in a better position to move quickly than most other fictional characters.
