re: Filthy Rich and that scene with Becky and Ginger in the hospital umm wtf was that?? I stopped watching the ep after that scene so disregard this message if they have another but just going into the episode it felt like there was so much missing? like with the chaos that episode 8 ended with, I thought that ep 9 would pick right off but a lot of it (at least the plane ride to NY, finding out the guy was dead, finding out the kid was kidnapped, Becky’s injury) was resolved off-screen

Yeah, it felt like they’d milk it more where they left it but I get it, they only had so much time and clearly certain things can be assumed to have happened without any confusion, why waste time with them.

But the conversation (and it was just the one) was pretty random, how was Ginger out of the picture to begin with? And Becky’s weird zen thing… And what did wrong place mean? Like, who Ginger is as a person? As a woman? As anybody at all when she wants to focus on her baby? Not sure what we’re supposed to take from that… It really does flip on a dime on this show, as it kind of felt like with Ginger last ep. I guess we just hope for something in the finale.

Thinking Becky was gonna push her lol I also thought the same thing! I think bc of Marc Cherry’s hold on me and having watched Desperate Housewives and Devious Maids my mind automatically goes there and I think the worse

Yeah, it’s that style of show. And it’s not like it hasn’t had its share of random violence either. Poor Luke! In fact, now that I’ve had a think on it, [POSSIBLY POINTLESS PESSIMISTIC SPECULATION AHEAD:] I’m actually kinda worried for Becky, there’s none of her in the preview for the next ep and both Eric and Paul look pretty upset. It would also explain something that confused me about ep 8, how quickly Ginger had feelings for Becky, but if that that was only meant to drive up the tragedy factor… Plus the angel outfit possibly foreshadowing and the actresses easing back on the promo. 😡

But I’m probably being paranoid. >_> It would be impossibly cruel to take this character who’s felt trapped and unhappy for most of the show and even before and then kill her right after she’s starting to find happiness. Not to mention, a pregnant wlw, good lord. That’s really dark, isn’t it? I’ll expect some drama for her and the baby but that ultimately she’ll be fine.

For All Mankind S2 got a Feb release date! I am really holding out hope for more wlw content in Ellen’s storyline (hopefully with Pam)! That S1 finale gives me hope that they may focus *something on them. Just wanted to share haha :)

Ah, nice, that’s not far off then! Time suddenly seems to have really sped up and now we’re almost at the end of 2020. o_o

Yes, I’m definitely expecting more for Ellen, they wouldn’t have done so much with her at the end of s1 if they weren’t going to expand on that, right. Can’t highlight how unjust and sad it was and then be like, welp, back to Reagan. And actually, given that President AIDS is back in the picture, and Larry…it’s going to be relevant.

I’m not sure, now, how I want the relationship with Pam handled. If they rekindled something in the timeskip, great, but I don’t want them to just be in love for 10 years, apart, and only back in each other’s lives because the camera’s back on and it’s time to pick up certain arcs. In that case, I’d almost prefer them having moved on to other people who they’re happy with. …though it would be super romantic, heh. I’ll just wait and and see.

Do you think that dude could be philippa’s son?

Oh, hmm, that’s certainly a possibility. She called them San, presumably that’s an Asian name? Have I missed any reference to them before or is this just brand new onscreen?

I went back through the flashbacks and grabbed these of San:

And then when the helmet’s off, you can’t see the face, except in a reflection, rotated for convenience:

That’s not Michael, right? Even though one of the flashbacks also included:

I assume that’s just one several references to what we saw in the mirror universe in s1.

Did you watch all of Devon’s take over? She answered a question about April moving her hand from Sterling’s face to her waist and it was PERFECT.

I hadn’t watched till I saw this and I guess because of the 100 story limit I missed the start? But I saw a bunch and they were great. 🙂 And lol, the answer to that one, nice. She was super personable and self-aware and funny as always, it was worth the watch. And again, I’m struck by how clear and sweet her voice is! Theater major, I guess.

Someone I follow on twitter saw the gifset of Stefania and Danielle and thought they were a long term youtube lesbian couple. it made me laugh when i saw your tag underneath it

The body language! But no, like, maybe I’m projecting my own attitude about these kinds of things, but I always assume if people are that flirty on camera, they don’t…have anything to hide, right? It’s just for fun? Otherwise they wouldn’t put it up there. Unless they don’t have anything to hide because they’re totally in a relationship and don’t care if it’s found out, heh. Not that I think that’s happening here…but yeah, they really have a certain energy in front of the camera, even if it’s just behind the scenes.

This is just something that kinda irks me/makes me laugh when it happens in film or tv. The whole move in with me randomly trope, I know it’s cute and symbolic of the new level of their relationship. But do they all live in a universe where you don’t get fined for breaking your lease or leaving your roommate in lurch by suddenly moving out?

Oh, heh, you know that’s only relevant when it’s a plot point, like when someone needs to find a roommate or can’t afford something. I just handwave it with all other TV convenience, or maybe we’re to assume Carina loves Maya so much she’ll break her lease or something. 😛 I’m thinking as a doctor who’s fairly recently moved to the country she’s probably in a better position to move quickly than most other fictional characters.
