I get these wrong every time, partly because I always make the error of–for once–undervaluing a f/f ship in a way the writers do not. I always think, okay, now they’re going to go on the backburner as the real plot takes over. Val and Lucia have been taken hostage, this is time for the Carvajals to handle this, no way Juls will play a part. And then she shows up, running through bullets. Okay, they’ve broken up, now the dads and Lucia plots will take over while they stay separate. But no, they investigate together. Even so much of Juls’s kidnapping was about Val.
BUT. This really is the time for a lot of other plot to happen. There are 10 episodes left. The Alacran-Eva-Mateo plot has to be handled, everyone else has to find out, Lucia-Johnny, everyone else has to find out, Jacobo being Leon, and…everyone else has to find out. They’ve even split up Renata and Guille so they can presumably get back together in a big moment at the end?
Going by TV logic that they don’t just move past this in tonight’s ep so it can be drawn out more, I would say they have an inTENSE conversation today. During which Juls might bring up Beltran being Chino? I don’t know which way it’ll go, for real, Val being angry and this time the result being the opposite of the Jacobo confrontation? Or she could be like, okay, I understand but I’m hurt and disappointed and maybe we shouldn’t be together/stay on a break, like you keep saying. But then as everything piles on in the next episodes, Lucho’s aftermath and Lucia and Leon and Eva/Mateo, Val will just want some comfort?

I know as a fandom we have a zero percent accuracy rating at guessing what’s happening next, but do you think they’re gonna make Juliantina actually hash out everything that happened w asshole sergio? I haven’t decided if Val will be instantly forgiving Bc she’s that gone, or if she’s gonna feel betrayed & ask what Juls would’ve done if she ~had~ enjoyed sleeping w a man. Or if Juls is gonna rake herself over the coals ¬ accept Val’s easy forgiveness. So many possibilities & they all hurt lol
All good options, and so many more. Imagine if they got interrupted, lol.
I mean, there’s being wrong because we underestimated (or once, overestimated >_>) the writers and then there’s thinking that this couple, or any couple, will be happy in the lead up to the finale. I would think it’s a mix of Juls being bad at explaining it (is Val never going to know she’d left Lupe??) and Val just feeling so hurt at it all.
Whatever it is, I don’t think it’ll be something that makes either of them look too bad, since the point of this will be again the circumstances being the enemy, and I do think that it’ll be something that will be resolved before any time skip.
