And you know, they had a whole beach full of non-judgmental strangers, including actually very nice men, to be ~aroused~ over but stayed stuck on each other. I actually really liked how earlier, when Vera found out she’d been cut off and was totally unfairly taking it out on Carly and Ro, they understandably bailed, knowing her mood, but Marcela stuck by and calmed her down. Like what does that say, that she’d prefer to stay with her even like that over playing around in the beach.
And then through the trip and its effects they kept on returning to each other, whether or not Carly and Ro were there or other people tried to join in, running around, in the water, dancing around the fire. Even in that state, some part of them sought out the other.
About that anon asking if Vera is a lesbian, well… I don’t think we’ll get labels for their sexual orientations, I don’t know exactly why but here in Mexico we are with the “I don’t need a label to love” discourse or something like that. So we’re getting our gay ships but they don’t label themselves… Just like they did with Juliantina. ✌?
Yeah, there’s a lot of that up in the US too, heh. But it’s fine, as much as labels can help with specificity, it’s also easier to not write them, or at least easier to not mess them up.
But I just hope they still follow this up in the next season (and that there is one), and don’t go, oh, it was just two opposite but similar girls connecting in a moment of stress, nothing to see here.
Talking about marvera this and that but PLEASE TALK ABOUT VERA’S FACE WHEN MARCELA GRABBED HER THIGH WHEN THEY WERE IN THE CAR IN THE WOODS BEFORE THE STORM AND WAS CHASED BY THAT OLD GUY WHO HELPED THEM i mean her face was like “excuse me ma’am that’s my thigh you grabbed” I KNEW IN THAT EXACT MOMENT THAT THEY’RE GONNA FUXK

That moment was great. In the middle of this hurricane, car stuck, scared of some random guy driving up behind them, everyone shouting over each other, it’s a goddamn mess, and Marcela grabs Vera and tells her to trust her and IT WORKS. It calms her down and she listens. And that face, lol. In hindsight, you’re right, it was obvious where it was gonna go from there. Instead of tearing off her head like she normally would have, that little thoughtful glance, like, hello.
Can we talk about Vera wearing Marcelas button up? Meaning Marcela gave it to her like the good girlfriend she is.

I can’t believe they deprived us of seeing Marcela offering it to her, probably, take this, flaca, you’re shivering. Their dynamic is one where it’s easier to be blunt, or even rude, even if they’re being nice underneath. Every time Vera gets all somber and quiet, Marcela cheers her up, usually with some affectionate mocking, which is their Thing and which works. She is honestly on her way to be a great girlfriend.
My guess is just that the whisper is that they go explore another part of the beach. An innocent start. Vera acting on instinct, knowing she wants more alone time with Marcela without quite realizing exactly what she wants. Then, once they are there, Vera just stares at Marcela. She can’t help it. And Marcela is no dummy, she knows what that sort of look means. She isn’t sure if Vera knows what it means though, so she takes pity on Vera and kisses her.

That actually is super possible… It would go like that, as with so much of their interactions, Vera just throws stuff out there, Marcela would be the one to understand what she actually needed and shape it into what Vera didn’t even know she was asking for. God, I can literally imagine it, Vera just staring at Marcela, kind of challenging but imploring at the same time.
