If the attacker used the other hand, then the woman wearing the hijab could use the opposite arm than is shown. SO PRACTICE BOTH SIDES.

Also please note the position of her arm on his. It’s not on the elbow but just above it. That is will be important for the submission. The grip on her hand is important as well. It looks like she is using a monkey grip where the thumb stays with the fingers of the hand instead of wrapping around. It protects your thumb from being broken and can be a stronger grip in general.

do y’all know how much i invested in sleepy hollow?

i watched this pilot before it aired and sang its praises because i knew it was special.

i had so much hope and invested so much time and energy.

i spent so much time educating people about how important abbie mills was…how important and affirming it was seeing a black woman be loved *this* much.

there are still no black female leads like abbie mills on tv period (not just genre tv).

none.

i’m literally so exhausted i’m in tears.

i feel stupid and hopeless.

hey yall the article didn’t conclusively state that she had not been raped n all of yall were mad quick to jump to that conclusion under the guise of ‘protecting rape victims’ when rly it sounds like yall were waiting for a chance to denounce a possible rape victim

1) Reason Magazine is run by backwards Libertarian assholes; it’s inherently untrustworthy. This publication is a favorite among Dawkins fanboy-types, Ron Paul supporters et al.

2) This is a standard fucking smear piece, and an obvious one at that. It’s formulaic and damn near every sentence contains a red flag. This trash gets published by rape apologists every single time a sexual assault receives media attention. Look up any prominent rape case—for each one, there are dozens of similar smears across a wide array of media.

3) This is rape culture.

All the comments at the top are disgusting, oh my god. Her receiving credit for the project (which btw is fairly fucking common for student activism) doesn’t mean it didn’t happen?? Being sexually active with someone doesn’t stop someone from being a potential rapist??? You guys should be ashamed for jumping to conclusions fed to you by people with a high interest in smearing rape victims and making it harder for others to come forward.

A quick google found me that article from Jezebel that explains everything that happened. The original article reporting the rape was made up was by a known victim blamer with MRA tendencies who goes after rape victims to smear their reputations.

Also, Nungesser has been accused by MULTIPLE victims of rape and assault. Do you really think ALL of them are lying?

And fuck, I thought we all knew that rape victims do not always react the same way to their rapes. There’s also the fact most of the friendly chats between Emma and Nungesser were before the rape. Not to mention, that Emma didn’t come forward until she heard about other victims. And Nungesser was actually found responsible for sexual assault by the school of ANOTHER victim, but they later overturned the decision and let him stay on campus.

But yeah, obviously this guy is an innocent victim and you should believe rabidly conservative news sources running a smear campaign against a rape victim with irrelevant “evidence.”

Also, Emma is NOT white.
