Pretty cool that a show like that is so appealing to the general audience! And yeah, definitely, right now, the shorter length certainly makes it sound more appealing. When it’s a show I might gif, or feel like I should take note of, it kind of requires that extra mental energy to watch, you know? So the shorter the better. Which is so ungrateful, heh. I spent so much of Desenfrenadas waiting for it to be over, in the sense that when it’s a subtitled show, I have to watch and can’t do anything else in the background, but when it was over, damn, I wanted more.

Lol, I have not seen it and I have been spoiled for it, but no worries, I’m looking forward to it! I’ll try not to spoil anybody else who hasn’t seen it but I imagine people can guess why a show would be brought to me. 😛
It’s also near the top of my list but not yet watched. I feel like…not to say that we have enough f/f media, we don’t, not at all, and certainly not where it’s treated equally if it exists, or treated well when it’s central, but I think we are reaching a threshold where there’s almost too much to stay caught up on, if you try to watch every single story. Which is obviously not saying much, if you tried to watch every scripted TV show that aired in a week that had m/f in it, in the whole world, it would not even be an option. That’s what we do for f/f, we follow these all over the world and still only get a minuscule fraction overall, but it’s still something.
And the casual nature of it is nicer too. Like, both Casualty and Grey’s Anatomy this week had female patients with wives. Or say, this random detective show that aired today where one of the suspects was a wlw. That’s nice to see too, and just a few years ago even these bits might have been clipped and uploaded to Youtube and had its own little time in fandom. So in a way it’s kind of nice that there’s enough to now pass some of these by and have the chance to be selective.
