reasons art!clones would have been great:
*parallels with Beth, who he really cared about. they were a team after all
*parallels with Sarah – he goes to so much trouble to uncover the mystery of the clones and protect the clones only to find out he is one
*reason to have more poc on the show. more arts, we get to see arts family
*gay/bi art clone and Felix falling for each other and them comically trying to hide it from people being the Felix subplot/some of the comedy relief of the season
*art the built and intimidating cop is a lot more convincing as the ideal military type over that googly faced half melted Joaquin Phoenix knockoff
*art is interesting and cool and we like him and know things about him and have an attachment to him already
*massive plot twist opportunity: D’ANGELIS WAS ARTS MONITOR ALL ALONG and has more sinister plans for Vic than we expectedreasons prolethean dude clone sucks:
*i may not have a lot of company in this but the prolethean storyline this season bored me to tears (when it wasn’t viscerally disgusting me). other than badass Helena moments I wouldn’t have minded it being scrapped entirely
*the first clone we were introduced to was routinely creepy and/or boring and I did not enjoy any moment he was onscreen. as opposed to Sarah who was instantly captivating
*he is not at all nice to look at. he is the prototypical melty faced white guy. now we have to look at more of him? what a mean joke on your audience.yeah true, white dude clone kind of shits on the social commentary of the female clones and the commodifying and ownership of womens bodies. black male clones could have made similar commentary on a racial level. they just completely dropped the ball on this one in a disappointing way, it could have been so good
