Look I think we can all agree that Lucho dying was actually nuts. But we’re talking about the Universe here. I try and think of it as a whole. People be switchin bodies to make soulmates happen. Lucho was being a tool, causing unnecessary heartbreak, and violent. Who knows on one hand. He could have gone on to be a horrible person. For the girls but can you imagine him being with someone else and not treating her like Valentina? Lucho is still Lucho. The Universe does what it does ya’ll.
I mean…he was good in this last ep, and in his final moments, but he’s mostly been deeply horrible. A twist of a writer’s pen doesn’t make everything about him good. He was whatever he needed to be for the plot, just something to push everything along.
And other anons:
PLOT TWIST: the straight ex boyfriend dies for dramatic effect. ….. AAM said f*ck you to all the tropes, THIS is how you get it done.
Can you believe a show killed their prince charming look alike to save the lesbians?
This is actually the funny part, because he was written like how f/f characters usually are, with no other story or background beyond their interaction with one person. And that’s why we’re often so disposable to the story, because those characters offer nothing beyond that. AAM made their f/f characters so important they could literally be the reason behind the premise of the whole thing.
And other anons:
Going through last nights post it’s pretty much with the gays not knowing how to react/deal with Lucho being shot. We’re used to that type of character in between our wlw ships and we always wants them to go away but it never really happens until AAM. I get some didn’t quite grasp the way he dead but it’s a telenovela and they are all about DRAMATICS. This is how they treat their otp, we’ve actually had it not as bad as far as novelas goes even though it may feel like the angst are endless.
See what happens when the fandom says they wish lucho would just die and they actually end up shooting him very abruptly and now everyone is in shock also he didn’t even have a dying scene or a closing statement like he died really quick
Yeah, it was quick and super surprising and sad in the moment. Immediately jumping to protect the women.
But I think while there was some shock people came to terms with it pretty quickly, remembering most Lucho the rest of the time and what kind of show it is. And I would dare say that there might be some other wishing going on too.
Did we know lucho was going to die?
We really did not.
I think that surprised everyone.
honestly Lupe can choke. Valentina heard about the kidnapping and within an hour was calling the cops going to the press, she was doing everything to bring Juls, but Lupe that woman knew who took Juls where she was and remained silent and trusted a stranger to do the job, not to mention she tries to play hero and RUNS when the bullets start leaving her daughter behind like a mother wouldve jump in front of bullets not ran, hell Juls did it for Val you know.
Her part in this ep must have been to provide comedy relief, because lmao, what was she doing? Why did she show up then if she was only going to run away? Well, I assume she finally clued in on there being a plan.
But anyway, now that the show is literally pulling the in a locked room together until they hash out their differences trope with them, maybe now is finally the time she stops being such a dick to Val?
woow two shootouts and not a single stray bullet hits the gays whereas men got shot. Amar a muerte is that bitch !!
Fair, fair, they deserve that credit. Even the “good” guy who gets shot and shouldn’t have is the creepy ex.
What are the odds that 2 lesbians survive shoot-outs twice in the same show? wow
I remember last time this happened, somebody was like, AAM said fuck the BYG trope and I was like, I don’t wanna tempt fate or anything. But both get kidnapped, both have the other come to their rescue, basically bullets flying around EACH of them TWICE and yet? They’re still here.
