i just realized that Barbara & Maca are actually over with the filming of “Amar a muerte” so that thing is in post production, and they could EASILY just forget about it, but they are out there, accepting interviews about it, raising awareness, thanking the fans, posting on social media. never, ever, have we been this lucky. i feel loved? and accepted? and cared for? and obviously, grateful? Yeah, when it’s a ship like this, there’s always the extra dimension of how the cast and crew behave toward it, since this isn’t in fact “like any other ship”, it’s something where there’s a real risk of them wanting to stay away from it outside of taping it. And that it’s one of the first big ones adds to that risk, people aren’t sure how to handle it, in the show side, the media side, or the public.

Aside from just being really nice to the fans and engaging with them often, these two have been really fantastic ambassadors for something where they’re in a real position to make a difference. And I think it’s pretty nice that the network and media are seeing this wave of positive response and playing into it.
