Thank you for answering my ask. At some point I think I should have reminded myself that this is a novela. Drama and everyday drama is their thing. With problems we face everyday in our lives added with our reality of not being straight, the intensity of drama and angst in novela might just get to us. I might have to take a step back a bit because I have started feeling anxious (also 2016 came back to mind). I’ll stalk and lurk Juliantina once in a while till they get their happy ending ??

Yep,

I remember in 2016 people trying to explain the difference between feeling sad at an earned, cathartic death and feeling actually bad about ourselves as a marginalized group, and I think once we’re feeling upset or anxious in real life, it helps to step back.

It’s difficult, there’s so much curiosity and hope that things won’t be as bad as we thought, but what’s the alternative? Nobody is going to watch out for you except you.

And it’s especially tougher with a daily show because the new content and discussion is coming at such a pace that you don’t really get to take a break. I can’t really you if you’re making the right decision, maybe it’s going to be great and you’ll wish you experienced it live. But that’s the risk, right. Especially since you’re already starting to feel negatively affected. Good luck and hopefully this will turn out well and we’ll see you again in a few weeks!
