Parents sending their kids on hail mary flights to the United States by themselves thinking they were going to see them soon, but then Castro closed the airports and never left power, and a lot of Cuban families were permanently separated. This episode made me BAWL my eyes out. Again, if I haven’t made it clear – please watch One Day At a Time on Netflix. It’s so good.
