Agreed, there was something THERE. It was that core relationship, deeper even within the wider circle of friends, framed as this historical one-that-gotta-away kinda trope that the whole current experience is there to fix, and then amends are made and a final overture to reach the happy ending they didnāt get before. I mean, we sayĀ āif they were a man and womanā all the time, but…yeah.
Iām watching Harley Quinn and every time kite guy is on my immediate reaction is āREALLY?! KITE GUY?!ā Comic poison ivy would neveeeeer omg what have they done to her. At least heās on less than I wouldāve thought considering she Was set to marry him by seasons end.
Yepppppp. I get they needed someone non-threatening and easy to dump at the end of it all but…him? Anyway, heās on not that much in s1 but he starts appearing more. Hopefully not so for s3. >_>
skam france is not over tho… the old gen is over but now it’s coming the new gen and lola is part of it, among with maya ofc. and the rest of their gropu friends. which is exciting because almost every fan of the old gen got so annoying over the past season that it was almost unberable to be part of the skam france fandom at all lol. so now for them it is over that’s why a lot of ppl are saying finally it’s over or thank god im free lol

And then of course whether or not theyāre central next season, thereās still a long hiatus to catch up on watching. I donāt know about any of the drama with the previous generation. š®
I canāt wait for you to watch SKAM, Iām used to watching it live and itās definitely an experience. Bc itās supposed to be in āreal timeā and so youāre waiting patiently (often losing your mind) for them to drop a clip to see what happens next so I wonder if youāll get the same feeling watching it all at once.
I donāt really think I will! Iāve seen people waiting for the clips and following the social media (although maybe that was just Skam Spain?) and I donāt think one can really replicate that experience just bingeing. It seems different from even the suspense you get from a weekly series, with the whole real time aspect adding its own layer. But you know, I canāt say Iāll totally miss that suspense and fear of a bad end when watching live. š
Hi! This is the anon from months (weeks? Who can tell anymore) ago, who was worried about them going the comic route and having a poly thing with Kiteman. So glad you were right! I canāt say I loved the finale, but it was better than I feared! I do think it was poorly paced and structured (whole season tbh) and that Ivyās motivations should have been communicated better. It was… very fast there at the end, would have liked a bit more time before they got together. I overall like the show tho!

Heh, what did you fear from the finale if this was better? For me, it was perhaps the ep that fell shortest of my expectations? Although maybe thatās on my expectations for being too high, wanting it to take care of everything that needed addressing this season. But yes, I do agree overall it was a bit rushed and oddly paced, the season as a whole like you said, it just…it felt like they took arcs that could have been resolved in a couple of episodes but padded out a whole season for them.Ā
But still! I liked a lot of things and am in a great place with them regardless, I do understand what they were trying with Ivy and if the fear behind never writing Harley as actually being bad enough to need growth was because they were protective of her character, I absolutely sympathize. In these tags and asks today Iāve worked through my frustrations (and then some) and am now a lot more chill and relaxed about it all. Onward to hopefully s3, and if not, at least the continuing rise of Harlivy as an iconic ship!
