I like how Carina said she’s not in the habit of fixing broken people, but she’s very good at it. She’s handling everything Maya’s throwing at her very well. Not sure what her tipping point will be because Maya has a lot of legitimate issues. Curious to see how they continue to evolve because I really like them. I’d also like to see Maya be there for Carina. I reckon that would be on Grey’s since S19 is Maya’s show so Carina is the supportive GF for her. Unfortunately, Carina isn’t a main on GA.

Ohhh, that’s right! I totally forgot about that. I was so stuck on her knowing Maya’s “eyes forward” mantra, meaning she’s told her about that, but it slipped my mind that Carina said she wasn’t gonna do this. And has been doing this for a while, starting from the truck breakdown, lol.

She could have meant she won’t try if people don’t put in the effort themselves, or signaled she’d changed her mind by not leaving when Maya opened the door for her. Or maybe she just continued to want to have fun too, but each step deeper happened without her really noticing and now she’s going on a couple’s vacation a thousand miles away and knowing exactly how to bring back Maya from a panic attack.

And yes, I’d like to see Maya do the same for Carina. Maya does have a lot of issues, but most stem from the same source, and she does seem to be tackling them, now it’s Carina’s turn. You’re right, it’ll most likely be on Grey’s, not only because that’s Carina’s show, but it’ll probably be tied to her brother. Even though Meredith seems to be handling a lot of that, they can’t leave Carina out of it completely, right? Unfortunately, though DeLuca’s arc seemed to be building to something, isn’t Grey’s about to run out of eps soon and won’t be finishing the season proper? So it might have to wait till next season? I actually don’t know how it all works out, are they just going to air Station 19 eps that assumed Grey’s would still be shot? Or are they so independent in terms of story that it doesn’t really matter if a character pops up in S19, there’s no chance something important was happening to them in Grey’s?

different fort salem anon. i actually really love abigail even though she has miles to grow as of now! i kinda ship her and raelle though. like an endgame ship. unless they can really turn the scylla thing around and give her a worthy redemption arc after everything goes to hell. abigail/raelle – 2 mains together would be great though.

Yeah, I definitely saw the potential for them but as of now they’re getting along and barely talking and both are wayyy too focused on other people. I definitely do love two mains, lol, you don’t have to sell ME on that, but they’d have to do a lot more for Abigail/Raelle to go there. I feel like Scylla has to play a bigger role than just being someone who breaks Raelle’s heart, if that was all there was to her, they’d have kept this reveal for now. Since we’re already expecting a betrayal and for Raelle to find out, the show has to set up another story layer. Although I’m unsure what, she’s been a pretty ruthless killer and manipulator so far.

I let my guard down because the spanish/spanish speaking series have been doing quite well in the wlw department lately but in this case it has been a huge disappointment. I also found the writing very disconnected, in one episode they had characters say how Maite and Camino’s love was too strong to end like this and in the next one how Maite would never come back. Like wtf -.-

Ah, yeah, you gotta be careful with the historical shows. Those seem to have the most scope for things going wrong. I’m lucky to be able to concentrate on non-soap ships recently, but yeah, I can’t blame people for getting into them, they really did look good on paper (and canvas :P). Plus, Camino’s actress being actually married to a woman, it definitely made us think they’d put more effort into the story.

Motherland Fort Salem anon again here. I’m curious about the character you like. Who is it? Also AAAAHHH Raelle and Scylla are so cute. Even when the audience knows Scylla’s a spree, i can’t help loving and shipping them. Also TALLY IS BABY!

It’s Abigail! 😀 I just like that perfectionist struggling under parental pressure kinda character. Also, maaaybe I’m shipping her and Libba just a scooch.

Lol, yeah, the audience has to be pretttty forgiving of Scylla, but so far, she and Raelle are making it work. At some point they’re gonna have to explain what other layer there is to it, because it can’t simply be this? General Alder and through her, the military, definitely have their demons, but just being opposed to something bad doesn’t make you good, if your ways are straight up terrorism. But can’t believe they’d do the reveal about Scylla this quickly and not have there be another twist waiting.

I love Tally! She’s so nice, but I like her standing up for herself.

Did you keep up with Maitino/Acacias 38? I can’t help thinking how the writers have just used fans for ratings and wasted a good storyline at the same time. So disappointing :(

Ooof, yeah, bud, that was a blow. Yet another soap f/f couple being suddenly and completely and illogically wrecked. The way they were writing it, I wasn’t sure they’d commit, but at the same time, it seemed a story with effort, falling in love with art as a backdrop. But Maite wasn’t really embedded into the story… Still, I didn’t think it’d implode this quickly.

They definitely should have developed Anya more before this episode.

Right? I mean, what they’d shown before this was fine, if a bit self-centered, needing Safiya to smooth things over for her career, but she’s in the middle of a hotly contested and dirty election, it’s understandable she’d be stressed. Presumably they’d both agreed to her running and Safiya knew she might have to make some allowances.

But damn, what we saw last night wasn’t pretty. And the thing is, she does have a point, both with the school and Safiya, but the way she approached it showed how wrong she was, because she has the same privilege as her son and treats it as cavalierly. And if we’d seen more of her before, maybe we’d understand her better, but as it is, the audience would surely be on Safiya’s side.

Not only is Safiya one of the moral centers of the show, we spend time with her. Like when it comes to Aaron and Marie, we see Marie’s side of things quite a bit, so we sympathize with both and see her point of view too (although actually, she has been quite lovely and supportive in general). But Anya doesn’t get the benefit of that and her stance yesterday honestly came across like an antagonist’s. I really would not like to see them split up, for a variety of reasons, so I hope she apologizes or realizes she can’t be so imperious and dismissive.
