AALST, Belgium (JTA) — Caricatures of Jews, including ones depicting them as ants, were prominently displayed at this city’s annual parade.
The displays came a year after the Jewish Telegraphic Agency exposed anti-Semitic displays in last year’s parade in Aalst,
located about 10 miles west of Brussels. Participants said the new
displays were designed to reject the criticism of the town and carnival
that followed JTA’s report.
Ah HAH! So we meet again! I THOUGHT I sensed something familiar….
But you’re right, you’re absolutely right, and I do sometimes go to a friend to vent and discuss this very thing, but ultimately just a bit of waiting and perspective are enough. And for me, this is a collaborative, sharing kind of experience, so without that, what’s the point, right?
But thank you! The fact that people are nice enough to offer their understanding and kind words means so much.
I would never have guessed she was 20! She’s definitely successfully pulling off someone in her mid-twenties. And exactly as you said, she’s a great combination of badass and vulnerable, I expect big things for her.
Oh, no, no, no, that was a specific anon who mentioned a soapbox, they know who they are, don’t worry! You were extremely polite and your asks were a pleasure to receive. 🙂

To soapbox anon:
I don’t know! ;_; I wish they left me something to say in response, but a flat negative statement kind of finishes the conversation there? But I don’t want anyone to feel bad so, I just kinda try to find something.
Oh, awesome! Well, tentatively awesome, heh. I hope it leaves me feeling as good as s3 did. Once I’m happy with a show, I get more nervous about additional seasons than anything else. But I am glad that such a nice, gentle show is getting more, we know how stingy Netflix can be.
