One of the things I love the most about DF is that The difference between Dani and Jhon is that Jhon lead the resistance; Dani won the war.
Well, not to defend a Man, but John did win the war too. 😛Â
The first terminator was sent back as a last ditch effort AFTER Skynet was already defeated, to prevent a future in which John was born and would lead the resistance to victory. And Dani, I guess does something similar, with the Rev-9 sent back in the same way (all these damn parallels and they think I’m not gonna treat Grace/Dani like Reese/Sarah). In a way, what Sarah did was perhaps the biggest victory of all, putting off the war entirely, and if these movies didn’t have to continue being made, maybe there’s a timeline where she and John are genuinely relaxing and having fun.
I still haven’t watched terminator dark fate but I still want to know, is there something btw Dani and Grace ?
Unfortunately, there is not. A cause of great grief to me, even more so that they try to sell it as a surrogate mother role. More maternalzoning. -_-Â
But it doesn’t play like that in the interactions we see, the way Grace treats Dani, there’s loyalty and protectiveness and even reverence, but it doesn’t ever seem like that kind of familial love? I dunno. You can go either way, I think.
Yup I totally thought you meant the actor Stephen Lyons who narrates Paddington the Bear ?
Lol, oh no! I didn’t even know about him, I was just googling the name to double check the spelling and THEN saw the actors. A couple of them! But no, this is Years and Years man.Â
Terminator: Dark Fate – Deleted scene – requested by @oswald-forthewin
Everyone was all about Grace and I mean same! But that moment when Dani yells to Rev9 in Spanish it did a lot for me
Ahh, I forgot to answer this earlier, but yes! I rewatched it in anticipation of my giffing and Dani rising to her role was a lot clearer the second time when you knew what to look for. I love her a lot, her focus is constantly on helping people and trying to protect them, which is a pretty great philosophy to define a leader around.Â
