Hmm, there is a bit where Mel gives Niko a magic ring so she’s impervious to her powers and can move around but I don’t remember anything about that second thing. I don’t think it’s from s2, though, Ellen Tamaki hasn’t shown any signs of being in it–which, of course, that could be to hide spoilers, but then surely this other clip wouldn’t be out?
And another anon:
I feel so bad for your Niko loving anon lol. I’m a huge Niko and Melko fan myself,so I can totes feel that pain. They ruined the reboot even more by crapping all over Melko. Tbh, I was really starting to like the reboot, but it’s basically the hacy fandoms show now.
Yeah, they were my favorite of the now potentially THREE Mel ships we have? Partly because they were the first but they had an actual deep connection that shone through everything they went through. They just liked each other, they had history and worked well together. I like the new girl but are they just going to get rid of her in a year? I don’t know!
Mhmm, yeah, I don’t mind Harry/Macy on principle but this second ep BARELY had the sisters together, how much did Mel and Maggie actually talk to Macy? Even the closing scenes when they were all at home still focused on each pair they’d separated into earlier. Why wouldn’t Macy be part of the Maggie and Mel conversation, even if to offer silent support? Why wouldn’t Mel and Maggie get to discuss to imposter Harry with Harry and Macy?
The first season had each of the sisters off with their love interests while Harry took a significant amount of screentime for his own past and with Charity but now it’s two main characters and it’s unbalancing everything. Even though of course this was just one ep and there’ll be plenty of opportunities for the other dynamics, Macy/Harry as a ship is going to overpower things.
