Juls buries her emotions and especially when she doesn’t want to worry or upset val. She doesn’t want to be a burden. She always thinks of val before she thinks of herself, which is why she broke up with her. She thought she was protecting val even knowing that she was breaking her own heart as well. We wont see juls breakdown over the kidnapping not only bc its vals story but because that’s just her character. But who knows, if we know one hing about the show is that it’s not that predictable
