Hey I read somewhere that there will be a time jump and that they will be separated for a while. Juliana will become a fashion designer. Then they will meet again in one of her shows and relived their love. Idk of this is true though..

Really? …can’t say I’d be a fan of that.

I’m not opposed to couples splitting when they have things to work through and then reconnecting when they’re in the same place but in the case of these two, it’d only be for drama, to lend a bittersweet air to all the time lost. They’ve been able to work through and compromise over so much, they’re so open and honest about everything, it’d be a blow if outside factors separated them for the tragedy of it all.

Wait I’m so confused help me out. Why was Jacob/Leon tearing up when he was talking to Val about Lucho???

Because he wasn’t actually talking about Lucho, he was talking about himself. He’d just found out that Lucia was in league with Johnny who had him murdered and he was projecting that into both the conversations he had with his younger, easily influenced kids, like the dumbass that he is.

Tbh, that realization made that whole scene far more palatable for me than it’d initially been. I’d only first gotten a summary of it which was of course appalling but there’s a big difference between characters doing bad things and the narrative endorsing them. What he said was terrible, no doubt. But it wasn’t Jacobo saying that as Val’s loving father he thought the best thing in this situation was for Val to consider Lucho’s feelings more, it was a very upset, self-centered Jacobo saying that about himself and Lucia.

I’m especially glad he had a similar scene with Guille because the audience already knows they should be rooting for Guille/Renata as a cute m/f pair, so their feelings of “wait, Jacobo is clearly projecting and giving bad advice” will more easily be carried into the conversation about Val and, indirectly, Juls.

Aw poor Val. She just kept saying how she had never been in love how she didn’t believe in love. Hope all the drama and struggles about Juliana be over soon and Val can just be a happy baby angel blissfully in love.

Yeah, they’ve both been through the wringer. And there’ll be troubles ahead, really. Only at the end of the show, hopefully, will they finally get some peace. But you know, on the way, they’re getting their little happy moments here and there. After they were able to fake Lupe’s death and then until confessing to Guillle it was relatively mostly quite pleasant.

idk why but one of my fav juliantina moments is when they’re at the park and Val is tryna convince Juliana to let her buy Juls something nice to wear for guille’s party.. and val does her little puppy dog eyes and says please in that little voice and Juliana almost immediately gives in…. and then the lip bite jeeeeezzz …. ughhhh so softtttt

Yeah, that’s a great scene that highlights everything good about them. Juls is honest about her concerns and her limits as far as receiving things goes, and Val makes it clear to Juls that she has understood and acknowledged all that and is specifically working on Juls’s terms. It’s so important that they’re both hearing and thinking about what the other wants. Their friendship and relationship is basically about them trying to give each other everything it’s within their power to give and convincing them to accept it, lol.

Is it common for telenovelas to get a season 2? I didn’t think they did more than one season.. I really hope theres a season two for Amar a Muerte

I don’t think it’s common, no. So, already a long shot, made longer by the fact that most likely, Jacobo/Leon will not survive the ending. And he is very much the center of the show and one of the big attractions in the cast.

There’s no such thing as seasons in Latin American telenovelas. At most, there might be a sequel but it’s only happened like a handful of times, at least in Mexico. Amar a Muerte has an 80-episode order and they already finished filming so it’s gonna be definitely over for good.
