Aww, you’re right, it does look like she does. Throughout the convo there seems to be some handholding and reassuring arm rubs. I really liked Kate in the whole ep, shellshocked and disturbed herself but only expressing that with her own family, knowing that when with Rana, she was the one who needed the support.
