For those knowledgeable about giving to charity/donating in Islam, the required amount yearly is at least 2.5% of one’s income?
I think zakat is 2.5% of total savings if I’m not mistaken
I only started paying a few years ago; my parents said to pay 2.5% of the wealth you’ve had for a year, so basically I calculate it off whatever my savings were at the start of the Islamic year. I don’t have any real assets so it’s simpler than if I owned a car or house, I think.
