In Thanksgiving: Free Copy of Her Name in the Sky

I’m thankful this year for the many friends and readers who have so generously supported my YA LGBT novel, Her Name in the Sky. You’ve written beautiful reviews & fan fics, drawn artwork, mixed playlists, and sent me heartfelt messages here on Tumblr. I’ve made many new friends who astound me with their goodness & generosity.

But I’ve also received messages from teens who can’t read the book without outing themselves  – usually because their bank account is linked to their parents or others to whom they are not out. I remember those days acutely, and I know that I would have had no way to get this book as a teen either.

Stories help people. I believe this one has helped a few. So if you want to read HNITS, I want you to be able to do so without worrying about outing yourself. I figured this week, when American teens are on break for Thanksgiving, would be a good time. 

This coupon – BC83C – will allow you to download a free copy of the book from now through November 27 (Thanksgiving day). It expires on PST (GMT -8:00). You’ll have to create a Smashwords account, but you can do that with any ole e-mail address. Then you’ll be able to download the book to any platform you choose. 

If you are someone who has paid for HNITS in the past, I thank you and I hope you won’t begrudge me doing this – I am just trying to share the wealth with our young people. If you want to download another copy and send it to a teen or someone you love, feel free.
