#she was a sophomore in college when she encountered an artifact on campus #it was a subtle thing — kids were getting great grades — but the problem was some of these kids just didn’t have it in them #and she didn’t go to a slacker school at all — her mothers made damn sure she could walk into any college in the world financially #and her brains would get her through academically. but her suitemates were more interested in…er…recreational farming than taking advantage of the opportunity the had. So yeah they were smart #but As in Rollins’s physics class? Not so much. so she tracked down the artifact #because the victims were stoner geniuses one minute and having seizures the next #and she finds out that someone is fertilizing their cannabis crop with ground up clay pots from the Great Library #so she ‘borrows’ one of Boston’s Finest’s badges and sidearm and goes in #busts them #leaves them where the bewildered cop can find them and actually book them #neutralizes the leftover dust #and burns what remained of the crop #then goes back to her dorm room where her suitemates are managing a wicked hangover and her roommate just shakes her head #because she KNOWS who put a stop to it but all she’ll ever get in answer is ‘if I told you my moms would kill you.’ #and as nice as they both are she knows they’re both usually armed and doesn’t want to risk it (via webgeekist)
